Alek's Digital Scrapbook Page

So I made one for Regan so of course I had to make one for Alek. This one was a little harder because of all the elements that were added but I sure am having a blast experimenting.

My First Digital Scrapbook Page

My step-mom was been doing wonderful things digitally with my kids pictures for years so about a month ago I got some digital scrapbooking software. I downloaded it as soon as I got home but didn't play with it at all. At least not until today when I got an e-mail from computerscrapbook.com and it reminded me. So I decided to play. I did this easter page in about 5 minutes and most of that was trying to decide which picture to use. I think it's pretty good for a first try.

New Recipe: Beef Taquitos

I have been trying to find recipes that both my kids, husband, and I will all eat. It has not been easy, but I finally found one in the February Family Fun magazine: Beef Taquitos. The recipe was easy to make and both the rugrats ate one whole taquito.

SCS Christmas Card Challenge - January

I didn't get my Christmas cards finished and out last year so when I read about the Christmas Card Challenge at Splitcoast Stampers I signed up. The challenge was to make 10 cards every month from January to November, making a total of 110 cards. Well that is more than I need so I was so excited, I would be able to get them done early. YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!

This is how I did my first ten for January.

Birthday Party Thank You Cards

I actually got to work this afternoon in my craft areas. I made these to send out as the thank yous for my son's birthday, the match the favor bags.

Birthday Favors

For my son's birthday I got a bunch of Curious George items from the Target Dollar bins. After Cars this is his next favorite movie at the moment. I borrowed the Monkey Business Stampin' Up! stamp set from Melissa to make the bags to put the coloring books, stuffed animals, crayons, and fruit yummies in. I am going to make thank you cards and a couple of scrapbooking elements using the stamp set before I give it back. Thank you Melissa for letting me borrow it.

My son's birthday cake

My son is all about Mater and Cars. For his birthday I borrowed a Lightning McQueen cake pan from Melissa to use since I couldn't find a Mater one. I didn't do all the detail work on the frosting but I think it still turned out great.
